Many insurance plans cover acupuncture, and Original Medicare covers it for chronic low back pain under its own rules. Everything else here is self pay, priced per therapy and quoted in writing before you start. Call with your card and we check your plan before the first visit.

Medicare
Does Medicare cover acupuncture?
Medicare and acupuncture, exactly. Original Medicare covers acupuncture for one diagnosis: chronic low back pain, meaning pain that has lasted twelve weeks or longer, has no identifiable systemic cause, and is not related to surgery or pregnancy. It allows up to twelve sessions in ninety days, eight more if you are improving, and no more than twenty in a year, under physician supervision, which Dr. Phipps provides here. Where it applies you pay the Part B deductible and then 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount. No other therapy on this site is covered by Original Medicare.
