Cheshire Integrative Medicine is led by Dr. Christopher Cheshire, NCCAOM board-certified acupuncturist and owner, and Dr. Thomas Phipps, Medical Doctor and Medical Director specializing in Internal Medicine and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Together they bring decades of clinical experience to The Villages community.
Dr. Cheshire graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York College of Health Professions with a degree in Oriental Medicine. He previously studied Biochemistry at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He is board certified by the NCCAOM and completed residency training with Dr. Rong Da Zhu, a 4th generation Acupuncture Physician and Professor from Shanghai, China. Over 25 years of practice, Dr. Cheshire has treated tens of thousands of patients, specializing in pain conditions including back, shoulder, hip, neck, arthritis, sciatica, fibromyalgia, and digestive disorders. He has been practicing in The Villages, FL for over 20 years.
Dr. Phipps specializes in Internal Medicine and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University and completed graduate studies in Respiratory Therapy. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mt. Sinai affiliate Morristown Medical Center, and his Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at UMDNJ affiliate Mountainside Hospital. As Medical Director, Dr. Phipps brings a conventional medical perspective that complements Dr. Cheshire's integrative approach.
