The Cost Question First
How much does acupuncture injections cost for Lady Lake patients, and what does insurance cover?
Priced per injection
Injections are added to an acupuncture visit and charged per injection, not per visit. One to three points is typical. The number is quoted at the free consultation and you hear it before anything is drawn up.
Insurance
The injectables themselves are self pay. The acupuncture visit they are part of is covered by many insurance plans, so for many Lady Lake patients the visit is covered and the injection is the only out-of-pocket item. Call with your card and we check.
Medicare
Original Medicare covers acupuncture only for chronic low back pain Source: CMS National Coverage Determination 30.3.3, under its own rules, and does not cover these injectables. Medicare Advantage plans vary and some include acupuncture Source: CMS National Coverage Determination 30.3.3. We confirm what your plan does before you book.
No packages, no prepaid blocks. Call 352-430-2720 and we quote your plan.

What You Are Paying For
Relief that holds between visits, without a steroid.
A pain clinic trigger point injection is lidocaine with a steroid, limited to a few a year. Ours places a small volume of Traumeel, Zeel or Sarapin at the same muscle knot or acupuncture point an acupuncture needle would go. The point stays active longer and the tissue gets the agent exactly where it is needed. Because none of it suppresses repair, it can be repeated as part of a plan.
That is the economics. If needling alone gives you five good days and an injection gives you three good weeks, you drive to us less and the plan costs less over a season. We only recommend injections when a problem responds to acupuncture but the relief does not hold, and many first visits are needling only. We also say plainly that the injectables have a long clinical record and a thinner trial record than steroids; what we measure is whether your relief lengthens. Full injection therapy page.
What Is Injected, And Where
Named injectables for the problems Lady Lake brings in.
Zeel for arthritic knees, hips and hands
Around a joint that hurts predictably, as the repeatable alternative to cortisone. Visits often move from weekly to monthly. Knee · Arthritis
Sarapin for sciatica and radiating pain
Along the irritated nerve, plus Traumeel into the hip muscles compressing it. Sciatica page.
Gelsemium Comp for neck knots and headaches
Cervical trigger points that drive tension headaches. Injecting them holds longer than needling when headaches are frequent. Headache page.
B12 for burning feet
At acupuncture points inside a neuropathy plan with electroacupuncture and laser. Neuropathy page.

Spaced out as relief holds
Relief typically lasts two to four weeks at first and lengthens. Visits every two to four weeks, then as needed. Fewer visits is the point.

- You want the price before you commit.
